Project Details

LOCATION
Jasper and Huntingburg, IN

When the Indiana Department of Transportation (InDOT) needed to design a new route for the U.S. 231 bypass around the cities of Jasper and Huntingburg, they hired Woolpert to complete the two-phase survey and mapping project. The entire route encompasses approximately 22 miles plus an alternate 5-mile route. The first phase included placing aerial targets for the photogrammetry and tying the target locations to local control. The second phase included establishing horizontal and vertical control. Woolpert also provided aerial mapping using photography acquired by InDOT. Data to spot check the mapping was collected using Woolpert’s Lynx mobile mapping LIDAR system.
