Area Development Plan for 309th Aerospace Maintenance And Regeneration Group

Known as the world-famous “Boneyard,” the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG) is a one-of-a-kind specialized facility within the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) structure. Recently, AMARG contracted with Woolpert to develop an area development plan (ADP) addressing potential mission growth and changing facility requirements. The team conducted on-site vision and development workshops exploring the needs, constraints and future of AMARG. These workshops addressed themes such as sustainability, flexibility, quality work environments, community engagement and energy initiatives. The most common theme, however, was the need for improved efficiency through the use of adequately sited and sized facilities for arriving aircraft and equipment. Woolpert researched and developed potential solutions, complete with varying investment options, for each ADP concept. These incremental development options cost-effectively meet the overall mission and planning vision.
