BUNCOMBE COUNTY METROPOLITAN SEWAGE DISTRICT CITYWORKS CMMS SOFTWARE AND IMPLEMENTATION SERVICES

The Metropolitan Sewage District (MSD) of Buncombe County, NC, recently began an aggressive campaign to repair and replace a system of collection and interceptor pipes that range in age from 50 to 100 years. MSD relies daily on this aging infrastructure as it provides sanitary collection and treatment services for a population of approximately 125,000 in the greater Asheville area.

To more efficiently manage these critical assets, MSD selected Woolpert to implement an enterprise computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

The new Azteca Cityworks CMMS solution allows the district to more easily issue and track work assignments, manage maintenance history, and rehabilitate its assets.

Woolpert is currently working with the district to define the Phase 2 implementation activities that will result in a Cityworks Server AMS deployment for its treatment plant and pumping station, industrial waste program, fleet maintenance and inventory management.
