CITRUS COUNTY UTILITY OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE ASSESSMENT

When the Citrus County Water Resources Division needed to evaluate their performance and determine if opportunities existed to improve efficiency and effectiveness and reduce costs of operation, they looked to Woolpert for help.

Woolpert conducted an initial desk audit of operating, maintenance, and financial information; interviewed key staff members from multiple levels and sections; and conducted a workshop with the leadership team and staff members to introduce overall best practices and metrics. Best practices were developed from both Woolpert’s knowledge of utility systems as well as from several leading-edge programs.

Woolpert presented a high-level action plan with recommendations for organization, work practice, and technology improvements that included specific, executable, measurable steps for the department to deploy over time to achieve their goals.
