For this design-build project, Woolpert developed a new airplane hangar for Comlux America at Indianapolis International Airport. The hangar needed to be designed for use by Comlux in their business of outfitting private airplanes.
The new building includes space for four commercial size airplanes, as well as general offices, warehousing of business materials and shop areas for various functions business-related functions. The new hangar also includes access and parking for the facility, as well as area for the delivery of utilities to the building from existing infrastructure. The old airport ramp area was demolished and replaced with tie-ins to proposed building facility.
Woolpert’s services for this project included survey, site grading, design, utility relocations, erosion control and permitting.
