EXTERIOR RENOVATION OF UNIVERSITY CENTER

At University Center, Woolpert partnered with a construction management firm to redesign and renovate 550 linear feet of building canopy for developer Simon Property Group.

Without existing building plans, Woolpert’s design team thoroughly investigated and documented the canopy’s structure. The team then used this data to develop design solutions that were communicated to the development team, retail tenants and subcontractors. Our team approach enabled us to create a program that phased the construction and had minimum impact on tenants and customers—allowing for normal hours of operation throughout construction.

Our efficient design and use of much of the existing canopy structure helped save money, which allowed Woolpert to include more building improvements and additional building lighting within the project’s budget.
