Clinical Evaluation Center

Tucked away in the hills of the Greenbrier Valley, West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM) is ranked among the nation’s top primary care and family medicine schools. To maintain its status as a premier medical school, WVSOM decided to expand its clinical evaluation center (CEC).

The $6 million, 17,800-square-foot CEC expansion includes 10 robotic simulation rooms, two specialty robotic rooms for emergency and birthing simulations, staff and office spaces, breakout conference space and a Grand Conference Hall for use by all students. Additionally, the facility is made available for medical professionals for ongoing training.

HVAC Renovations

The university also selected Woolpert to assess the condition of its mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) assets in several campus buildings. Woolpert assessed the HVAC systems’ overall conditions, identified deficiencies and developed best-solution recommendations. The recommendations took into consideration existing conditions, phasing issues associated with occupied buildings, occupant comfort needs, and maintenance and construction costs.
