Woolpert Architecture and Engineering Leaders Share Paths to Success, Thoughts on Industry Equality
“In the future, there will be no female leaders. There will just be leaders.” — Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook COO
Today, in our continuing celebration of Women’s History Month, we hear from seven of our architecture and engineering leaders who discuss how they selected and pursued these industries, the mentors who motivated and inspired them, challenges and triumphs they’ve experienced along the way, their advice for the next wave of leaders, and how the architecture and engineering industries are becoming increasingly gender balanced.
Those participating in this video include Vice President and Architecture and Interior Design Discipline Leader Denise Breunig; Associate and MEP/Structural/Fire Protection Discipline Leader Melissa Meade; Vice President and Engineer Program Director Lanie Wess; Senior Associate, Sustainable Design Consultant and Engineer Project Manager Nadja Turek; Senior Associate and Engineer Project Manager Rebecca Knolle; Associate and Architect Hala Abdelaziz; and Interior Design Team Lead Kristi Barker.
Thank you to this outstanding group for sharing and thank you to the many other architecture and engineering leaders throughout the firm and around the world. Because of you, the future of these industries has never looked brighter.
