When a big-box retailer vacated the Castleton Commons Shopping Center, developer McKinley, Inc. was tasked with leasing 40,000 square feet of retail property. Woolpert’s design team was hired to redemise the building’s interior, which included the complete demolition of existing construction and providing new core elements. Our team provided:

  • Mechanical, electrical and plumbing services
  • ADA-accessible restrooms
  • Landscape architecture
  • Code-compliant exit components
  • Roof-framing study to facilitate installation of 39 new skylights
  • Exterior building envelope and façade updates

Woolpert worked with the developer to create conceptual plans for new tenant storefront finishes along 850 linear feet of the shopping center. These concepts were developed into completed bid and construction documents that helped shorten the owner’s schedule and reduce construction costs—allowing the scope of the project to be expanded to include more building and site lighting and landscaping.
