Woolpert, in partnership with a dynamic team of designers and specialty engineers, is working to realize Carnival Cruise Line’s vision of setting a new benchmark in Caribbean Island Cruise Destinations through the project at Celebration Key. Nestled on the south side of Grand Bahama Island, Celebration Key is an exclusive new cruise port destination, poised to redefine the ultimate private cruise guest experience. The destination boasts a pristine beach front location against the backdrop of the spectacular Bahamian waters and is distinguished by two massive freshwater swimming basins, covering more than 7 acres.
At the heart of Celebration Key stands its most iconic structure, the Sandcastle, featuring two winding water slides. The destination offers an extensive array of guest amenities, including authentic Bahamian restaurants, bars, a variety of food and beverage options, a diverse selection of retail outlets offering everything from local artisan crafts to specialty items, and an exclusive VIP Beach Club equipped with an infinity pool. The expanded cruise pier will be able to accommodate up to four Excel-class ships simultaneously, which are the largest and newest ships in Carnival’s fleet. With a wide selection of offerings, Celebration Key caters to all guests, and is projected to welcome around 4 million guests annually by 2028.
