Woolpert conducted comprehensive cruise market assessments, developed an action plan for the conceptual design of a cruise facility, and undertook terminal operation planning, bidding assessment, financial analysis, and project consultancy.

The conceptual design, used for the design/build tender, was developed using building information modeling. Furthermore, the design process incorporated cruise terminal simulation modeling to design the passenger and baggage flow areas, manage traffic in the ground transportation area, and determine the sizing and spaces for corridors and main areas dedicated to passenger and baggage processing. Utilizing these advanced tools allowed Woolpert to optimize space utilization, providing clear justifications for adjacencies and flows. This precision in planning enabled a seamless translation of concepts that could easily be understood and evaluated by potential bidders.
