Woolpert has worked with Nashville Metro Water Services (MWS) on multiple contracts over the past decade including: IT strategic master planning, business process re-engineering, enterprise GIS development, systems integration, enterprise asset management (EAM) integration, documentation and systems support and training.

Woolpert facilitated the development of multiple information implementation options in a comprehensive IT and asset management implementation plan.

This plan was used to develop budgets and schedules for IT development, deployment and system integration at MWS. The plan provided clear explanations in reference to how MWS information systems could be optimally integrated to support the daily operations of the utility.
Woolpert worked with MWS staff to create an overall database design (water, sanitary and storm water utilities) that would integrate ESRI’s GIS, HTE utility billing and Infor’s Hansen Enterprise Asset Management System with an Oracle back-end.

Woolpert created an intranet-based web portal called NEEMO. Built using ESRI’s ArcIMS mapping server, NEEMO provides customized tools to make business processes easier to accomplish.

In the past, MWS used AutoCAD and raster drawings to map and maintain its distribution assets for water and sanitary sewers as part of its asset management strategy. Today, the asset management program and daily workflows are supported by intelligent and controlled integration between its enterprise GIS (ArcGIS Server (9.2)) and enterprise asset management (Hansen v. 7) in addition to HTE utility billing system, which combine to serve as the basis of informed decision making.
