The Challenge
Paulding County, located in northwest Georgia, experiences an average growth rate of 3,000 new homes per year. As the population continued to steadily increase, the county could no longer keep up with its state-mandated goal of inspecting all properties every three years. Recognizing its administrative process for inspections was outdated and inefficient, the county pursued a modernized solution.
The Solution
Woolpert approached the county’s insurmountable workload with a simple solution: its flagship product, MobileAssessor. MobileAssessor lives within the CAMACloud suite and is the first of its kind to optimize field data collection in the mass appraisal market. Appraisers can easily review property data, market value estimates or set flags with just the touch of a finger.
The county has embraced time-saving features such as optimized routing, instant photo association, touch screen sketching and configurable property record cards. Paulding supervisors appreciate the ease of assigning work, real-time quality control, historical and live field tracking, and the productivity dashboard and reports. Moving to a mobile solution has enabled appraisers to spend more time in the field, while eliminating the 40,000 sheets of paper previously required. “You will not want to go back [to old ways],” declared Stokes.
Working with Woolpert
Paulding County has worked with Woolpert since 2014 as they were the site of the first WinGap and MobileAssessor integration in Georgia. “Woolpert has always been excellent to work with,” Stokes stated about the relationship, “If we had any issues, they got on it quickly.” Given Paulding County’s continued success with MobileAssessor, the relationship only continues to grow.
“It’s not just one [favorite feature]! Probably the number one benefit is the elimination of double work. I despise double work, it’s wasted time. Now, we’re able to get appraisers out and about, opening up some freedoms for them. Production has gone up and appraisers can receive information in a matter of minutes instead of the previous three or four days of admin—and not to mention the photo taking.”
