Greenbox, a wholly owned subsidiary of Woolpert, has been engaged to develop the architecture and interior design for the Australian production facility for one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies. This world leading center for innovation will be the first place in the southern hemisphere to manufacture mRNA vaccines, after the Victorian Government reached an in-principle agreement with the Commonwealth Government and Moderna.

Phase 1 has a $500-million construction budget. The building design block is based on Moderna’s bespoke manufacturing process, endorsed by global regulatory authorities.
The best in its class, this initiative will provide vaccine security, ensuring manufacturing can be contracted locally to avoid global supply chain issues and creating a more robust defense against future pandemics.

The project team is thrilled to be the local architectural partner for the new Moderna pharmaceutical production facility in Victoria.

This project ties in perfectly with the firm’s expertise of designing and building intricate, inspiring and bespoke mission critical facilities.
