Bermello Ajamil (BA), a Woolpert Company, designed Plaza Premium Group’s state-of-the-art lounge at MCO that caters to Orlando’s unique mix of business and leisure travelers. The new lounge offers an elegant space for travelers to unwind, relax, and embark on an experimental journey that integrates the culture and environment of Orlando. Considering the diversity of passengers traveling through MCO, the design of the lounge aims to cater to all age groups, creating an environment that is perfect for the families, as well as those looking a corner of peace.
The main lounge has a variety of zones that provide passengers with space for both productivity and pleasure. A family zone features a children’s play area, followed by the hospitality zone with a showcase bar and dining area. The lounge also offers thoughtful amenities such as luxury washrooms complete with shower facilities and a variety of comfortable seating options. Notes of green and blue are found throughout the lounge, paired with warm woods, fluted paneling, and beautiful stone finishes. The interiors are contemporary and refined, featuring curvilinear forms and upscale yet comfortable furniture. Soft surfaces and unique portions are integrated throughout to lower acoustics and create privacy.
