SNHA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Woolpert, implemented innovative cooling and stormwater management systems that drive Prineville’s sustainable design approach. The data hall’s high cooling demands are met by an advanced high-efficiency evaporative cooling system that responds directly to server demands. Rainwater collected across the building’s large roof surface is stored and recycled to serve toilets and irrigate landscaping.

The building’s architecture sensitively responds to Prineville’s high desert environment. The building is wrapped in unadorned precast wall panels that complement the arid natural environment. Free-standing panels define an outdoor courtyard that welcomes staff and visitors. Glassy office and lounge areas offer expansive views of the landscape.
