Our big, beautiful booth was busy. With careers spanning 20 to 30 years, our project managers, program directors and technical leads were able to share how things used to work and to project where things are headed. From asset management strategies to forecasting and risk assessment, we defined our ability to see a project through from start to finish and to support any software that is aligned with that goal.

The best parts for me were the 10-minute “Lightning Talk” sessions. Woolpert Project Manager Tom Merce and I discussed “Georeferenced Photo Tool.” Many people attended our talk as well as many other of these sessions, and the quick presentations kept listeners plugged in and hungry to learn more, while providing us with a lot of constructive feedback.

We also had the opportunity to engage with a strong, experienced team from Esri and learn more about their ArcGIS Indoors dashboard. This user-friendly software simplifies processes and provides a less complicated approach to managing and improving large facilities, such as treatment plants and airports. We’ve been working since the summer to get ahead of the game on this new tool and platform as we determine licensing, define capabilities and identify how this will best serve our clients.

It was great to be a part of this event with our highly valued partners in Cityworks and Esri and our outstanding colleagues and clients as we work to advance the industry. Already looking forward to 2020!
