Reconciling Air Force Real Property Records

By adjusting the way Hurlburt Field’s GIS and real property records data were analyzed and reconciled, Woolpert GIS Specialist Matthew Wellinski discovered anomalies that should yield millions of dollars in future-year funding for the Florida Air Force base. This discovery and the process that led to it have been lauded by the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC), which noted its substantial value to bases across the Air Force.

Wellinski works onsite at Hurlburt as part of the firm's work with the GeoBase program, which assists with inventorying, operating, and stewarding all built and natural infrastructure assets worldwide.

David Streed, a senior technical contract support lead for the U.S. Air Force and Woolpert, wrote about Wellinski’s story for the Septermber-October edition of The Military Engineer.
