Woolpert Adds Retail-Savvy Architect Project Manager Jason Golub to Facilities Market

CHICAGO (May 21, 2019) — Woolpert has hired Architect Jason Golub as a project manager in its Facilities market. Golub has close to 20 years of architecture experience on projects that have spanned the industry, including commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, mixed-income multifamily, historic preservation and high-end residential. However, his primary focus has been on retail architecture, where he has worked on numerous high-profile projects for some of the world’s leading companies.

Golub has established an excellent reputation through his grasp and application of building code and accessibility issues, and his concept-design approach, team collaboration and project management skills continue to elevate his architectural practice. Prior to joining Woolpert, Golub worked with the architecture, engineering and geospatial (AEG) firm as a consultant on multiple projects.

“I was always impressed with the efficiency, attention to detail and in-house consultant services that Woolpert has, all under one roof,” Golub said. “It is such a great advantage to work alongside the various designers here. The wealth of knowledge and expertise provides such a strong backbone to our design fluency and creative nature.”

Golub currently serves as a director on the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Chicago Board of Directors and has served as a co-chair for the AIA Chicago Practice Management Committee. He also is a member of the Architecture Review Committee for the village of Deerfield. Ill.

The University of Illinois at Chicago graduate, a licensed architect in Illinois, also volunteers his time in the AIA Chicago Architects in Schools program and teaches architecture in local junior highs and high schools.

At Woolpert, Golub said he hopes to share his experience and enthusiasm for the future of design and help the firm garner recognition locally and nationally.

“My goal is to help lead the charge of bringing the architectural design services Woolpert has to a larger client base and to the forefront of what we can achieve collectively,” Golub said. “I hope to promote and propel Woolpert’s reputation as a top architecture firm that continually delivers award-winning designs and quality projects.”

Woolpert Facilities Market Director Chris Perry said the firm was extremely pleased to have Golub on board.

“Jason has a wealth of knowledge with various building types and experience with large-scale, complex projects,” Perry said. “His passion for architecture and enthusiasm for our industry is very exciting, and we are fortunate to add his experience and skillset to the team.”
