Woolpert Embraces Art and Innovation in Over-the-Rhine

Woolpert’s rich history embraces both art and Cincinnati’s creative community. It was only natural, then, that when Woolpert decided to open a new regional office, we chose to establish it in Over-the-Rhine, a vibrant, artistic community with a rich architectural history.

See Woolpert’s OTR office up close and personal in our new video.

Over-the-Rhine (OTR) is a historic Cincinnati neighborhood built by German immigrants in the early 19th century. Today, it is experiencing a redevelopment renaissance. In partnership with the city of Cincinnati, the Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC) has invested/leveraged more than half a billion dollars into OTR to create a bustling, walkable neighborhood with abundant entertainment, dining and retail opportunities.

In 1972, we opened our very first regional office in the greater Cincinnati area.

Last year, we opened a new Cincinnati regional office, repurposing the former Pabst Bedding Warehouse at the corner of 12th and Walnut streets in OTR. This new location reflects our progressive and innovative approach to architecture, engineering and geospatial services and features a hip, modern aesthetic.

For Woolpert, participating in the OTR community is a mixture of economic development, community engagement, political action and good corporate citizenship. We are proud of our work on many of downtown Cincinnati’s postcard-picture projects, such as the University of Cincinnati, Jack Casino, Riverfront Commons,  Adams Landing, multiple mixed-use developments and infrastructure improvements.

We are excited to play a role in this vivacious, artistic city. A representative from Woolpert sits on the cabinet of ArtsWave, Cincinnati’s most successful fundraiser for arts, and our employees’ artistic creations adorn the walls of our office. Additionally, a Woolpert intern recently helped paint one of 17 colorful murals of the Licking River Murals Project.

We help our employees, clients and the world to progress through forward—and artistic—thinking.
