Woolpert Hires Joe Bissaillon, Architect and Project Manager, for Military Market

DAYTON, Ohio (Nov. 28, 2017) — Woolpert hired Joe Bissaillon as a project manager for the firm’s Military market. Bissaillon is a Registered Architect, Project Management Professional and Green Globes Professional, who is a credentialed LEED AP Building Design + Construction associate.

Bissaillon will manage vertical, horizontal, and infrastructure design projects, while supporting business development and strategy alignment for Woolpert. He has proven experience with multiple Woolpert clients, including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), as well as strong relationships across the military planning and design market.

David Ziegman, senior vice president and Military market director, said these contacts and Bissaillon’s “great business development, strategy and project management experience” made him a great fit for the job.

“I think we can all benefit from Joe’s fresh perspective,” Ziegman said.

Bissaillon said he was drawn to Woolpert by its dedication to the Military market, as well as the firm’s strong strategic vision and presence in his hometown of Dayton, Ohio.

“Short term, I look forward to contributing to the success of the firm and earning the trust and respect of my fellow Woolpert employees and our clients,” Bissaillon said. “Long term, I strive for an opportunity where I can continue to take on more responsibility and develop into a leader in the firm and the marketplace.”

Bissaillon, a University of Cincinnati graduate, is a member of the American Institute of Architects, U.S. Green Building Council, the Green Building Initiative, the Society of American Military Engineers and the Project Management Institute.

He said he’d like to continue to promote green industry practices with his work at Woolpert.

“I believe strongly in reducing our footprint and impact on the environment, and continuing to push the industry toward implementation and development of new practices and technologies,” Bissaillon said.

Ziegman said he supported this initiative.

“Green building, resiliency and sustainable design are principles we incorporate into all of our design projects for the military,” Ziegman said. “We look forward to Joe’s contributions to our projects in these areas and our ability to further strengthen our team’s skills.”
