Woolpert’s ITMC Market Adds Experienced Project Manager Zach Valchar

WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 18, 2018) — Woolpert has hired Zach Valchar as a project manager for its Information Technology Management Consulting (ITMC) market. Valchar is a Certified Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and a Project Management Professional (PMP), with a background in application development, system integration and IT strategy.

Valchar said the combination of diverse clients, projects and skillsets of the teams at Woolpert appealed to him.

“I’m looking forward to joining this smart group of people with unique backgrounds at a firm that focuses on the intersection of asset management and geospatial applications,” Valchar said.

Dave Feuer is a Woolpert vice president and the ITMC market director, as well as Valchar’s immediate supervisor.

“We are very excited to have Zach join our growing team,” Feuer said. “He brings large-project program management experience with utilities to our team.”

Valchar received his bachelor’s degree in geography and GIS from Penn State University. He has worked across multiple sectors, supporting clients in state and local government, commercial organizations and the U.S. Department of Defense. Most recently, he spent time working with large electric and gas utilities managing GIS and enterprise asset management projects.

Valchar said he’s excited to come on board with a firm so clearly poised for growth.

“Woolpert is well positioned as it continues to capitalize on its AEG (architecture, engineering and geospatial) offerings,” he said. “I’m excited to help expand that footprint at a time when asset management and geospatial applications are growing as enterprise tools within organizations.”
