Woolpert’s Jen Kouns and Laura Burns Earn e-Builder Certified Professional Silver Certification

The firm also has been named an e-Builder Silver Certified Partner, which affirms expertise in implementing and training users on this project management solution.

DAYTON, Ohio (March 11, 2021) — Woolpert is pleased to announce that Technology Services Market Director Jen Kouns and Phase Manager and Systems Analyst Laura Burns have each earned the e-Builder Certified Professional (eBCP) Program Silver Certification. This designation means Kouns and Burns have demonstrated proficient use of the e-Builder solution and can be relied upon as experts in implementing this technology for owner-centric capital management program solutions. It also qualifies Woolpert as a Certified e-Builder Enterprise Silver Partner Organization.

e-Builder, a Trimble Company, is a cloud-based construction management solution that provides real-time performance tracking across the lifecycle of a capital construction project. The technology enables project managers to customize dashboards and generate tabular reports to manage five processes of a project: planning, design, procurement, construction and operations.

The platform helps streamline these processes, while centralizing and providing transparency in the management and storage of all information related to a project. The software can be utilized
to manage projects in the private and public sectors, including federal, state and local government capital programs.

As Woolpert’s technology services market director, Kouns leads Cityworks implementation projects for clients around the world. She has been with Woolpert for more than 11 years and is licensed as an International Certified Asset Manager and a Project Management Professional.

Burns is an expert lead systems analyst and an engineer in training (EIT), who is licensed as an International Certified Asset Manager. She spearheads efforts to implement Cityworks for federal, state and local government clients, integrating disparate systems and replacing outdated systems. She has been with the firm for more than seven years.

Kouns said this Silver Certified Partner status confirms that she and Burns can train others in how to utilize e-Builder to its fullest potential. She said e-Builder is an ideal solution for capital project owners, whether in enterprise or government sectors or in industries such as health care, K-12/higher education and commercial real estate.

“At Woolpert, we are committed to increasing our knowledge base and keeping pace with best practices and the latest advances in project and program management solutions,” Kouns said. “e-Builder is a great tool that can connect multiple parties and provide transparency to owners, so they know what each party’s role is in seeing a project through from conception to construction and program implementation. Having two people in-house with the e-Builder Silver Certification lets new and existing clients know they can trust us as experts in implementing software for their capital programs.”
