CCTV Stormwater System Condition Assessment
With a lack of sufficient information about its stormwater system, the city of Fort Worth tasked Woolpert with preparing a criticality analysis and assessing the condition of a portion of its stormwater infrastructure. This stormwater system condition assessment project, which employed closed-circuit television (CCTV) technology, served as the basis for developing assessment standards and processes, testing the processes and developing a limited repair/replacement strategy. This multiphase project began with Woolpert’s thorough review of previous condition assessment reports, current operating procedures, industry standards and contracted vendor information. The project team used this information to provide recommendations for data collection, storage and analysis. Woolpert also facilitated a peer-to-peer session with the city of Westminster, Colo., to discuss the benefits and challenges of Westminster’s proven CCTV inspection/data import tool.
