Woolpert Welcomes Accomplished Client Manager and Strategist Donna Becco Schroeder to Lead Public Market
CHICAGO (June 13, 2023) — Woolpert has hired Public Market Director Donna Becco Schroeder to lead strategy and client development for public sector architecture and engineering clients, nationally and globally. Schroeder’s national and international design and project management experience has equipped her with technical expertise, relationship management delivery skills, and business and financial acumen specific to the built environment.
Over her career, Schroeder has led client account teams for on-site planning and interior projects, as well as new ground-up and facility upgrade construction. She also directed modular/prefab and adaptive reuse projects for a range of multinational corporations, including Microsoft, Intel, AT&T, Cisco, Wells Fargo, and Walgreens, where she led the company’s interior office redesign within Chicago’s historic Old Main Post Office.
More recently, Schroeder served as principal account manager for a national commercial and industrial practice, where she led multiple national account teams supporting key Fortune 500 accounts. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in interiors and architecture from the University of Cincinnati and is a long-term, active member of the U.S. Green Building Council, the International Facilities Management Association, and CoreNet Global’s Strategic Portfolio & Planning Committee for commercial and industrial efforts.
“Sustainability and resilience are essential to modern design, across all aspects of a project life cycle,” Schroeder said. “One of the main attributes that attracted me to Woolpert was the firm’s integrated approach to sustainable planning and design across diverse markets. Woolpert’s architects, interior designers, engineers, strategic consultants, geospatial specialists, etc., are not only dedicated to their individual industries but they also work across the aisle to comprehensively support a more resilient and advanced built environment. That alignment and continuity are what clients need, and I am excited to be part of this dynamic effort.”
Woolpert Buildings Sector Leader Suzette Stoler welcomed Schroeder’s unique project experience and innovative approach to client services.
“Donna is known for her creative and strategic thinking across multiple markets, and her ability to devise out-of-the-box solutions and delivery methods that benefit clients,” Stoler said. “We are thrilled that she has joined our Woolpert leadership team to strategically grow our Buildings Sector, which now includes SNHA, a Woolpert Company, while continuing to add value at all levels of client and staff engagement.”
