Woolpert Wins ASHE Project of the Year Award for Parsons Avenue Streetscape

COLUMBUS, Ohio (May 30, 2019) —The American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) Central Ohio Section honored Woolpert’s Parsons Avenue Streetscape project as 2018 Project of the Year in the category of projects under $5 million. Woolpert Project Manager Nathan Fischer and Phase Manager Craig Goodnight were on hand to accept the award.

Woolpert provided preliminary engineering and design services for a complete reconstruction of 0.16 miles of Parsons Avenue to increase the sidewalk area, provide on-street parking and add bike facilities to the historic urban corridor.

The project ties in a broad range of elements including public involvement, renderings and graphics, water line replacement, combined sewer rehabilitation, street lighting, mast arm traffic signals, detailed maintenance of traffic plans, street trees and green infrastructure.
