The sub-area development plan for the future development of the 823 Rapid Engineer Deployable – Heavy Operational Repair Squadron Engineer (RED HORSE) compound required updating. Limited expansion space, deteriorating facilities, mission changes, and an increased emphasis on the RED HORSE mission led to the need to update the framework for facility improvements to support the RED HORSE mission. The project included acquiring data on existing conditions, including environmental constraints; updating the facilities requirements of the 823rd RED HORSE installation; examining the mobility process; and analyzing the constraints to future development at Hurlburt Field.
