AMS ASSESSMENT—SUMMIT COUNTY

When users of Summit County’s asset management system (AMS) experienced a significant connection lag and difficulty deploying their solution in a virtual machine (VM) environment, Woolpert conducted a pilot project to establish the ability of Cityworks’ AMS to better meet the county’s needs.

Woolpert’s primary goal was to demonstrate how Cityworks could successfully eliminate the VM-associated lag for office and field users alike. The project team avoided this problem by defining an architecture setup that eliminated lag opportunities, opening proper ports and ensuring full internet access. Woolpert provided Summit County with discovery workshops, installed and configured the AMS in the county’s environment, provided familiarization training and reviewed the test results with the county.
