As-Built Surveying Data Collection
Woolpert provided as-built surveying services for utility clients during the construction and rehabilitation of gas pipelines throughout the Midwest and Southeast. While the pipeline trenches were open, Woolpert collected as-built condition information including pipe depths, heat numbers, welds, fittings, encroachments and more. Prior to backfill, all pipeline assets were photographed and their locations were recorded using GPS coordinates with sub-foot accuracy or the approved equivalent. The data was collected and submitted electronically to minimize human and conversion error.
The resulting up-to-date digital inventory enables the client to identify any deviations from the design specifications, promotes enhanced maintenance activities and improves overall customer service.
