Woolpert was selected to perform professional services on multiple projects with the Columbus Regional Airport Authority at Port Columbus Regional Airport and it’s relievers. Airside and landside projects include utility installations, roadway improvements, facility upgrades, parking lot facility expansions and relocations, traffic studies, taxiway and apron infrastructure, including rehabilitation and reconstruction, airfield lighting improvements, security system improvements and a host of other projects. Notable projects include the airport’s first P-401 utilizing a Superpave Mix Design with High Strength Polymers to resist rutting at critical locations from an approved FAA modification to standards. Key Successes
Worked collaboratively with CRAA and FAA from the planning phase through commissioning on the new South Parallel runway to ensure AGIS and flight procedures were finalized
