Woolpert provided design and construction administration services for the concourse renovation project. The non-secure public portion of the terminal was recently remodeled and expanded; however, the public secure areas, including the concourse, holdrooms, restrooms, and concessions were over 20 years old. These legacy areas did not match the new construction and were in need of renovation. Woolpert recommended several improvements to modernize this part of the airport environment. Our team’s design integrated the concession space with the passenger waiting experience by offering a variety of simple food and beverage services, charging stations for portable electronics, and a variety of comfortable seating areas. The new construction updated the interiors so that the entire terminal would present a unified aesthetic.
