Project Details

CLIENT
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)

LOCATION
Multiple Airports Across the U.S.

The Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) program office of the FAA was tasked with producing aeronautical survey datasets used for the development of approach and departure procedures for arriving and departing aircraft. Woolpert is part of a team working with WAAS to complete surveys to produce localizer performance with vertical guidance (LPV) procedures in support of the space-based augmentation system (SBAS). We have assisted in completing surveys at more than 870 airports (1,500 runway ends) in 47 states.
