INDUSTRIAL-SCALE WIND POWER FACILITY DESIGN
Project Details
LOCATION
Indiana
This wind generation facility uses 121 wind turbines to produce 200 megawatts
of power. Woolpert survey crews provided construction staking services for the interconnection switchyard and electric substation to connect the wind farm to an existing 345-kilovolt transmission line. Crews staked the layout of 183 piers
and 792 anchor bolts for the interconnection switchyard, as well as 118 piers and 552 anchor bolts for the substation. After installation, Woolpert performed as- built surveys to verify that the layout was within the specified 1/16-inch tolerance. Additionally, Woolpert crews prepared as-built surveys for the turbine foundations and construction layouts for related roadways, transformer pads and other facility infrastructure.
