J.W. Isenhour Tennis Complex Upgrades
NC State’s J.W. Isenhour Tennis Complex is one of only a handful of complexes honored by the U.S. Tennis Association (USTA) as an Outstanding Facility. And to remain among the top-rated playing venues in the U.S., the university recognized a need to upgrade the facilities.
The additions included a 1,000-spectator grandstand structure atop a shell space that offers unprecedented viewing options as well as a live-scoring electronic scoreboard visible from all seats. The upgrades also included an elegant brick entrance, landscape enhancements and a new fence and gates.
Since the initial project, the university has filled in the shell space, and completed the 30,000-square-foot facility. The state-of-the-art facility also features men’s and women’s locker rooms, coaches’ offices and a luxurious players’ lounge.
