When the town of Indian Trail announced plans for a new community recreation space, Woolpert joined the project to assist with concept analysis and development. Woolpert engaged programming sessions with various stakeholder groups to define the community’s master plan vision, analyze existing conditions and studies and review concept options for the 140-acre park.
Woolpert’s similar experience in local projects was key to providing strong insight into the region’s demographics and sports tourism industry. Throughout the project, Woolpert provided the following services:
- Park master planning
- Public involvement
- Surveying
- Geotechnical subsurface exploration
- Natural resource investigation/wetland delineation and permitting
- Construction documentation (architecture, landscape architecture, civil and MEPS engineering)

- Natural playground
- Dog park
- Disc golf
