Woolpert developed all portions of the real property master plan (RPMP) for the U.S. Army Garrison Yuma Proving Ground (YPG). With the inclusion of a vision plan, multiple area development plans (ADPs) and planning standards, the RPMP addresses the unique needs of this one-of-a-kind military training facility. It also includes recommendations for upgrading to sustainably designed, high-performance buildings.

To fully involve YPG garrison and mission representatives, the team scheduled four, two-week visits and hosted intensive charrettes for each specific area of the 834,000-acre garrison. These individual areas, each with their own unique missions, required a collaborative perspective and coordinated approach to bring the overall plan into focus. The ADPs were seamlessly integrated into the comprehensive RPMP, paving the way for a thriving YPG.
