San Francisco Bay Control Benchmarks
Woolpert surveyors conduct ongoing daily surveys in the Bay Area and, as a result, are continually collecting data for multiple clients in different areas. For surveying the same geographical location in microenvironments, it is beneficial to have a local set of control points that can be easily accessed and referenced to one another.
To update the existing Port of San Francisco control, Woolpert installed 10 new benchmarks from Pier 80, north of San Francisco Marina North. All benchmarks can be accessed by water for local project control and are referenced to different global datums for fluidity. Woolpert surveyors use this established control for daily surveys using our small vessels in the area.
