Woolpert Hires Senior Aviation Program Director Paul Strack

CLEVELAND (March 12, 2019) — Woolpert has hired Paul Strack as principal and senior program director, serving clients within the firm’s Aviation market. Strack brings 35 years of experience in aviation planning and engineering throughout the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Great Lakes Region and a keen awareness of the challenges facing airports today.

Strack’s background encompasses the areas of aviation development projects, including oversight of master planning, airfield layout and engineering, construction phasing, safety and security issues, grant applications, funding, cost estimating and construction project management for general aviation and air carrier facilities.

Strack said he was attracted to the position because of Woolpert’s reputation and engagement in the aviation community. He said it’s important to him that the firm is very active in helping drive the aviation policy and funding agenda in the state of Ohio and across the country.

“Woolpert’s focus on results and practical designs in the architectural, engineering and geospatial (AEG) environment are fundamental for new technologies coming online in the aviation industry,” Strack said. “The firm’s Strategic Consulting services are helping airport sponsors determine the best returns on investment as new capital investments come online. Through the services offered in this space, we can provide sound, focused solutions to complex challenges.”

Strack is a two-time past president of the Ohio Aviation Association. He also is a member of the American Association of Airport Executives, Great Lakes Chapter Corporate Committee; the Ohio Regional Business Aviation Association; and the Michigan Association of Airport Executives. He holds a degree in architecture from Washtenaw Community College in Michigan.

“Paul is well known for his focus on client satisfaction and his ability to guide his project delivery teams through sound project fundamentals,” Woolpert Vice President and Aviation Services Practice Leader Chris Snyder said. “We are excited to have Paul join our team and add his talents and experiences to the consulting we offer our clients.”
