Passenger Terminal World magazine outlines the background and benefits of Inspansion in its September 2021 edition. Inspansion is a method of adding capacity through smart analytics rather than physical expansion.

Inspansion was developed by Woolpert’s David Tomber in the mid-2000s to leverage process improvements and technology, was patented this summer and has proved highly beneficial in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, as airports adopt effective ways to reduce costs while improving customer service.
