With seven separate city departments, performance optimization was a significant concern for the City of Naperville. The city determined the need to evaluate their existing asset management systems, practices, and organization structures to determine if opportunities existed to improve their city-wide asset management approach so that effectiveness could be improved and costs reduced.

Woolpert’s approach included evaluating the existing systems, practices, and organizations for both functional and technical gaps.

Woolpert’s approach included evaluating the existing systems, practices, and organizations for both functional and technical gaps, developing a future vision of asset management based on long-term needs, and developing a conceptual design was developed and action plan. Based on experience, the team employed a proven set of best practices, organizational concepts, and technology tools to evaluate both operational and business components of the various departments involved in the project.
