Multibeam Bathymetry for Kanawha River Sediment Capping

J.F. Brennan Co., a prominent heavy civil marine construction firm, utilized Woolpert to collect, post-process, and edit high-resolution multibeam bathymetry to prepare for a complicated process of capping contaminated river sediment in the Kanawha River. A nationally certified hydrographer was needed, per the project specifications, to perform and oversee the pre-construction surveys, which began in summer 2018. Additionally, Woolpert assisted J.F. Brennan Co. with mobilizing marine positioning systems for the work and establishing a geodetic control network.
