Architect Project Manager Blade Hauth Joins Woolpert’s Indianapolis Office
INDIANAPOLIS (Nov. 5, 2018) — Blade Hauth has been hired by Woolpert as an architect project manager in the firm’s Facilities market. Hauth brings 37 years of design experience and institutional knowledge about the design market to the firm’s Indianapolis office.
Prior to Woolpert, Hauth was a senior project manager for the local design department of Takenaka Corp., one of the largest architecture, engineering and construction firms in Japan, where he often worked with Woolpert.
“I have always had great respect for Woolpert’s service, professionalism and technical abilities,” Hauth said. “Woolpert has that ability to change the way people see their world.”
Hauth also worked as a project manager with several Indiana design firms and was responsible for designing projects that included military clinics, neighborhoods, hospitals, schools and universities. He said he believes an architect does more than build a physical structure that shelters people and their activities.
“A good architect helps shape the way individuals relate to their environment,” he said. “I like to solve the facility and environmental challenges of any client type.”
Senior Vice President and Facilities Market Director Chris Perry said Hauth will help advance the firm’s industrial and manufacturing design strategy.
“We’re extremely excited to have Blade join our firm,” Perry said. “He brings a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience to our design teams.”
The Ball State University graduate is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Board (NCARB) and is a registered architect in Indiana and Florida. He said he is looking forward to learning more about how Woolpert is moving the industry forward.
“The professional geospatial engineer or architect has to understand how to interpret measurements and how they relate to society and the individual,” Hauth said. “Progress comes with questions; not copying the status quo, but always looking to be better.”
He added that he measures his success as an architect through repeat clients.
“I hope to continue serving many of the clients I served in the past, as well as new clients,” Hauth said. “With the great diversity of talents in the Woolpert family, I hope to be able to serve clients even better.”
